Every one knows that it's more than nice to spend some nice time with family and friends and to try switch off at the weekends. Does this really happen though every weekend? I know for me, it's non stop always on the go but that has to change! The fact is the majority of people live in such a turn style life where they don't have time to switch off & de-stress in their own bodies. It's constant Go Go Go and what's next on the to do list.
With today's tempo of work it's so difficult to find time to relax and not to feel under a huge amount of stress constantly. Sadly, this often leads to health problem, mental health issues, and other threats to every day life.
This weekend I decided to teach myself to try and de-stress a little by spending a day off work, walking in the sunshine, ear phones in, and just taking in the scenery.
A group of swans decided to approach me as I sat on the rock looking out to the sea & the comfort from that was surreal. Patrick was a swan man & I felt his presence with me and the strength to fight another day.
One minute at a time, one day at a time, sometimes seconds but I have learned the importance of stepping back a little & taking a breath.
if your stressed and in over drive all the time, try a walk, some breathing techniques, listen to music. Appreciate your body and your life, we only get one shot!
