Band resisted KB swings from super speedy Saturday. For strength/velocity training purposes swings are always done against a band as this creates an over speed effect on the eccentric phase. I don't coach these in regards to hip/knee movement as I prefer the athlete to go into whatever position they're stronger in/favour. Knight of Cups Sorry, I know the rule: Everything Terrence Mallick makes is automatically a masterpiece. I apologize for breaking the rule. So, this was an experiment. It's not a movie, I won't call it that. It should've been a YouTube experiment. So Mallick didn't have a script for this. He couldn't be bothered to write a script, and I couldn't be bothered to pay to see a script-less movie. Didn't have a script, but he did have a hand-held camera, Christian Bale, and Emmanuel Lubezki. Let's talk about the bad. Emmanuel Lubezki has won the best cinematography Oscar the past three years. Only person to ever win an Oscar three years in a row. Then in 2016 he teams up with Mallick, and Lubezki is not even in the conversation of Oscars this year. So way to screw up the streak Mallick. Next, the no script thing. This movie is 90 minutes of the back of Christian Bales head and neck, and 30 minutes of his face. It's Bale walking. He walks here. He walks there. Then he walks on the beach. Then in the hills. Then in his apartment. Then on the sidewalk. Then.....credits. This entire movie is him walking and staring at things, but then people call it some profound masterpiece. "See the way Bale stared at that sand?! You could see the pain in his eyes. Best Movie ever." Again, glad to see critics didn't give into laziness, and gave it a negative score. This isn't the worst movie of the year, I'm not even sure if it's a movie. This is walking propaganda. That's what it is. It's a movie trying to get us to walk and stare, and not talk. Well I say no to that. There were some terrible movies this year, but filming Bale walk for two hours made for the absolute laziest movie of the year. Mallick couldn't even be bothered to hire extras. Instead he has real people in the back staring at Bale and taking pictures as he walks down Santa Monica. Garbage. .
