About to enjoy a cup of tesco finest #greentea with mint in my special cup (both Christmas presents from my clients). I am so blessed to have such wonderful clients. I usually use the leaves because I find most greentea teabags bitter, but this one is so lovely and not bitter at all. I feel amazing. Just managed my first weights session for the year (despite only 4 hours sleep. Baby thought 4am was a good time to wake up today) and my body and mind is immediately altered. It's easy to fall into the trap of eating badly once sugar cravings kick in. But for me personally, as soon as I do some exercise it makes me eat for the body I want, rather than the body the food I'm eating tries to convince me I have. #weightloss #exercise #resistancetraining #weighttraining #mindbodyconnection

We can lose patience with #weightloss when focusing on the long term goal and it can feel daunting especially when there is a lot of weight to lose. But it is important to focus on mini/short term #goals . Remember something is better than nothing. A step at a time. Just keep going

My two year old running where I used to teach my #mindbodybootcamp in #mayesbrookpark #barking . Seems like a lifetime ago that I used to run the #bootcamp in 2014. They were fun times, I look forward to running them again someday when the girls have grown up a bit and the time is right.

I tell my clients when it comes to #exercise that "something is better than nothing" and I like to take my own advice too . I didn't take any trainers or clothing with me on holiday but not letting that stop me. I did some bare foot training, used a local outdoor gym and have increased my daily steps and monitored this using my #fitbit . Although my eating has been more relaxed than usual I feel pleased that by being more conscious of my activity I am helping to combat this. Which will make my job easier when I get back into my usual routine. #wellness

Love it or hate it #marmite is #healthy and contains more #protein than hummus and peanut butter! This was a revelation to me, because I don't know if anyone else has noticed that Marmite (which I love) has no nutritional value on the jar (or at least the one I have). So being my curious self I looked into it because I love it on corn cakes (which are low in calories) and was going to share this with my clients, but wanted to be sure it wasn't too high in sugar (of which it only has 1g / 100g). But also found that its actually higher in protein than hummus and peanut butter. Marmite contains 39g/100g verses below 10g/100g for most hummus and below 30g/100g for most peanut butter as per myfitnesspal.com. So if you love marmite like me enjoy some #guiltfree spreading lol #nutrition

The best way to brighten up this dull autumn day was my first visit to @theboathousecafeandbar and it definitely will not be the last. So many positives..the food, decor, surroundings, the flat white, the music and the owner were all great and it's family friendly too. Definitely a great addition and a true asset to #barking

How much #protein is enough? According to Matt Lovell, sports nutritionist. You should have 1g of protein per lb/.5kg of body weight per day and to always take 20-30 g of whey before and after training and it's best accomplice is 40-50 g of carbohydrates. #nutrition #diet #weightloss "The carbs supply energy to train and replace #muscle #glycogen after you've trained - plus refined sugars cause the body to release insulin, which after training has a very anabolic effect and enhances protein synthesis".
